Dubai, a city renowned for its futuristic vision and technological advancements, recently hosted the inaugural ‘Future Festival’ from June 5th to June 6th, 2024, at Dubai Expo City. This landmark event, organized by DXB Live in collaboration with Trend Hunter, marked a significant step in the UAE’s ongoing commitment to embracing and promoting artificial intelligence (AI) across various industries.
The festival attracted a diverse audience of innovators, tech enthusiasts, and industry leaders from across the globe, including notable guests from India, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. Approximately 150 participants attended in person, with prominent brands such as Landmark Retail Group, Givaudan, Dubai Tourism, and Marriott featured at the event.
Dubai’s Future Festival aimed to explore the vast potential of AI, fostering meaningful discussions on its transformative impact on sectors including healthcare, retail, and transportation. The event's comprehensive agenda included a range of activities designed to inspire and inform, giving attendees the opportunity to engage in Trend Talks, Tech Demos, Customized Workshops, Trend Panel Discussions, and Keynotes on Policy and Governance.
"AI & the Inflection Point," a session delivered by Jeremy Gutsche, CEO of Trend Hunter and award-winning author offered insights into how AI can serve as a catalyst for further advancements and innovation while tech demos like autonomous coffee-serving robots and kinetic display screens engaged attendees. The event's AI art station that allowed participants to create unique digital masterpieces was another crowd favorite, showcasing AI's practical and creative applications. Moreover, the event's stage setup featured a futuristic aesthetic, drawing admiration from participants.
Looking ahead, the Future Festival sets a precedent for subsequent events in the region with organizers already planning future iterations, aiming to expand the event's reach and impact. “This was the first of many Future Festivals to come in the region. We're thrilled with the results it produced for our guests. Our goal is always to inspire and drive actionable takeaways to help them make innovative changes.
