Ryerson’s The Fashion Zone Provides Support to Start-Ups
Riley von Niessen — September 12, 2018 — Marketing
The Fashion Zone at Ryerson University in Toronto claims the title of the first incubator community for fashion and technology entrepreneurs in Canada. By providing entrepreneurs with the tools they need to see their visions come to life, The Fashion Zone works to enrich the Canadian fashion industry.
It is able to do so by utilizing the latest technologies, services, and processes to propell great ideas to the forefront, all while providing mentorship to guide entrepreneurs through the whole process. In just five years, The Fashion Zone has helped over 140 companies generate $70 million in revenue, raised $32 million in equity financing, and employed over 650 individuals.
During Trend Hunter’s Future Festival Future Party on September 18th, The Fashion Zone and nine different companies that originated from it will host The Fashion Zone Immersion Space. This space will be used to showcase innovative advancements in products, services, and technologies, which will come from a range of fashion and technology companies.
