Facilitating Meaningful Collisions

Known for her forward-thinking approach to innovation, Debbie Amato has an aerospace engineering background and is the Deputy Chief Officer at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center. She is also an inspiring mentor advocating for women in science, and recently received an Innovation Strategy Award in the Opportunity Hunting category.

Presented at Trend Hunter’s Future Festival World Summit event, the award recognized her Poster Sessions tactic – a ritual resembling a science fair for adults, where people share ideas to create collisions. These sessions are about “making coincidences happen” and are centered around the idea that different perspectives and collaboration lead to unexpected and inspiring outcomes.
